All of us in the ILC winter offices are very excited for our CAMP REUNION on November 21^st at Sportime USA in Elmsford, NY. The reunion will be held from 10am until 1pm and details are provided in our monthly newsletters. We look forward to seeing many of our summer 2015 campers and staff there on that date, no RSVP necessary.

We are excited to offer our 2^nd annual West Coast Teen Tour for all of our CIT’s entering 11^th grade in the fall of 2016. Please see our October 12^th blog for more details. If you have any additional questions about this trip, simply give us a call in our NY office.

Very soon all of our 2015 camp families will receive their Island Lake Video Yearbook on dvd. We hope you and your children will take the opportunity to watch this amazing video filled with many exciting summer activities and memories. Hey ILC parents,…This is it! Summer is just about here and we are happy to report that as of June 1^st we are back at camp once again! Words cannot even begin to explain how wonderful it feels to return to our home away from home. We are sooooo EXCITED for your children’s arrival on June 27^th. We have amazing plans for this summer including our new west coast teen tour for the CIT’s, exciting evening activities, an awesome Color War theme, a day trip to Dorney Park, a teen trip to Boston and Martha’s Vineyard in session 3, and much more. Let us just say, we have some awesome plans to make summer 2015 the GREATEST, and we cannot wait to share it all with your children!

Summer 2015 parents, have you sent us all of your forms yet? Please make sure we have received your children’s profile, medical, and transportation forms, as well as your travel itinerary if you plan to be away while your kids are here at camp. You can fill out the profile and transportation forms directly online by logging into your CampMinder account. The medical form is not on our website so please be sure to fill out the form enclosed in your folder. If you misplaced it, just click “Forms & Mailings” in the “Families” section of our website to download a new one.

Don’t forget that by registering with CampMinder you can view our daily summer photos and weekly videos, as well as send emails to your children. We ask that only immediate family members email our campers because too much information from home can create unnecessary homesickness.

We will be posting blogs right here on our website daily once the children arrive. Additionally, we will continue to tweet daily and post short video clips on our Facebook page. So much info for our parents that they will feel as if they, too, are experiencing an Island Lake summer filled with fun!

Now that we are back up at camp, please be sure to mail any outstanding forms or payments directly to our SUMMER ADDRESS in Starrucca, PA. Do not use the New York return envelopes any longer, as that mail takes awhile to be forwarded to us at camp.

If your children are enrolled for summer 2015 at Island Lake, please be sure to fill out your Profile and Transportation Forms, either by filling out the hard copies you received in your folder or the forms right here on our website. All forms were due on May 1^st. If you choose to fill them out online, just click the “CampMinder Login” and either enter your email address and password or click “First Time Users- Create Account.” The Medical Form is not on our website so please be sure to fill out the form enclosed in your folder and mail it back to us as soon as possible.

Any day now you should receive your “Spring Mailing” in the postal mail. Enclosed in this mailing are your Parent Handbook, Camper Handbook, Activities Handbook, Medication Policy letter, travel itinerary form, Open House flyer (if your children are 1^st time campers this summer), as well as a flyer about our online photos, videos, & emails. Whether you are returning or are new to the Island Lake family, please make sure you and your children take a few minutes to sit down and read this spring mailing thoroughly, as we always add new information.

Happy February!  As we sit here in our winter office looking at the snow outside of our windows, it feels as though summer 2014 was all a distant dream.  However, our summer 2015 countdown has already kicked into gear and lucky for us, camp will sneak up on us before we know it.  Our camp reunion on November 22nd was a huge success.  Check out our reunion photos posted right here on our website homepage!

For those families who registered for camp prior to December 1^st, by now your children should have received their special edition ILC t-shirt.  We hope your kids love their new addition to their wardrobe and enjoy wearing their shirt to school with pride (and perhaps a long sleeve under it to keep them warm!).

We are busy preparing for 2 big trips that we are now offering to all of our oldest campers and CITs this upcoming summer.  Firstly, we are offering our 1^st annual TEEN TOUR to all of our CIT-age kids entering 11^th & 12^th grade in the fall of 2015.  This teen tour will include traveling around the west coast of the US of A, visiting cities in states of California (San Francisco, San Diego, Los Angeles), Nevada, Arizona, and more!  We guarantee that this is going to be a lifetime experience for all of our CITs who take advantage of this amazing trip.  For more information check out the flyer enclosed with your January newsletter in the postal mail or simply give us a call at our winter office and we’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

Our 2^nd trip is our annual 4 day/3 night TEEN TRIP that will be visiting Boston, Massachusetts this summer in our 3^rd session.  This Boston trip will be offered to all campers entering 9^th grade and higher.  Check out more details about this fun-filled experience in the mailing we recently sent out to all who qualify to go.  There is an enrollment form for you to fill out and return to us at our winter office.  Not only will we be visiting Boston but we will also take a day trip to Martha’s Vineyard.  So,…much,…FUN!!!

Our camp reunion on November 22^nd was a huge success!  Screams of excitement filled the air as campers and staff embraced one another.  We had a fantastic turnout, including children and counselors who flew in from other parts of the country just to see their camp friends.  The reunion never seems to last long enough.  Time flies when we’re having fun catching up with many of our Island Lakers.  Check out our reunion photos posted right here on our website, on our Facebook page, as well as on our ILC App.

We are excited to announce that we are in the midst of developing a teen tour for our kids who are of CIT age, entering 11^th and 12^th grade in the fall of 2015.  We will send out all of the specific details as soon as we have it all finalized, which should be in the next few weeks.  Right now we can tell you that the trip will leave a week or so into the 1^st session and they will return to camp in the 2^nd session. We plan to have the kids back at camp in time for Visiting Day so you can still come and spend a wonderful day at camp with your children.
